Hockey at the American Airlines Center in Dallas
There was a real festive atmosphere around the American Airlines Center, with several restaurants in the area and plenty of outdoor seating to take in the terrific weather. Inside there was a lot of activity and plenty of choices for a variety of food and souvenirs, despite a record setting attendance for this nights game. The sound system was terrific and the whole facility was very nice and clean. The Jumbo TV above center Ice is the largest of any NHL or NBA facility and it is 1080i HDTV as a bonus! Ample parking in close proximity of the facility enabled a pretty easy walk to the building. Food was about $8 a serving, with beverages $9 each. The food portions were adequate (but on the small side), and the beverage portions were adequate (on the large side). After the game we easily made it to the car, and traffic was well managed and easy to negotiate back to the interstate for the return trip home. This is a great location to see an NHL game! Overall we had a great time and would return without hesitation.
